Gründer Academy, the startup program initiated by SpareBank 1 Sør-Norge, supports ambitious entrepreneurs across Southern and Western Norway. Organized in partnership with local innovation hubs in regions like Rogaland, Vestlandet, Sørlandet, and Østlandet, the program hosts 80 promising startups each year. In Rogaland, the program is run in collaboration with Validé.
In spring 2024, Sverre Nesvåg from Madsnor took part in the program and impressed the jury during the local Gründerpris final, earning a prize of NOK 50 000. This win secured him a place in the national final — and in January 2025, Sverre was awarded the National Startup Award, receiving a grand prize of NOK 250 000.
The jury highlighted Madsnor's creative application of oil industry technology principles in the development of a groundbreaking medtech solution with global market potential.
