Oddbjørn Kopperstad is educated as a Cand. Real. (Master of Science) from the University of Bergen, specializing in organic analytical chemistry, with additional education in economics from BI Norwegian Business School.
He has extensive professional experience from the oil and gas industry, including various positions at the operating company Statoil, as well as roles in both large and small service companies delivering technology and services to the oil industry. He has participated in and led numerous projects in technology development and technology improvement.
He has broad experience in project financing, tender processes, contract negotiations, and contract management. In addition, he has versatile leadership experience from both middle management roles and as a CEO. He also has board experience from a number of small and medium-sized, non-listed companies.
